MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Curtain Call Community Theatre is to provide a vehicle for local performing arts development, production and education and to encourage and foster community involvement.  We promote and deliver exceptional community theatre and therefore our motto reads:  “Downtown Quality at Community Theatre Prices”.

HISTORY

The organization began in 1979 as the Fine Arts Association of Frankfort.  The primary focus was to bring professional level musical artists to the area and provide a vehicle for local performance.  In 1998, Nunsense, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Little Shop of Horrors, Pump Boys and Dinettes and several musical reviews and concerts were staged.

As a result of community focus groups held in October 1999, the name was changed to Lincolnway Community Theatre.  The group continued to provide exceptional musical as well as dramatic/comedic theatre to the area.   In 2004, a new focus group was formed to come up with a new name; because of our name, Lincolnway Community Theatre, there was much confusion amongst the community whether we were affiliated with the Lincoln-Way High Schools. The names were presented to the Board of Directors and the Board chose Curtain Call Community Theatre.
