SPRING MUSICAL AUDITIONS!

AUDITION INFORMATION

Curtain Call Theatre is announcing Auditions for one of the most exciting contemporary ensemble musicals of the last decade. And until Oct. 20th we can’t publish the Name

Our licensing agreement requires us to keep the title confidential until the official announcement — but we can tell you this:

It’s inspired by an extraordinary true story.
It features a powerful contemporary musical-theatre score.
It is genuinely funny
It is deeply moving without being sentimental.
It tells a story about strangers becoming neighbors and ordinary people doing extraordinary things for one another.
It is a TRUE ENSEMBLE SHOW, filled with wonderful roles rather than just a few leads surrounded by a chorus.
It moves at an incredible pace, with actors transforming rapidly from one character to another.
And sometimes the simplest theatrical choices create the biggest moments.

Most importantly, this is a show about the goodness of people who show up for one another when the world suddenly changes.

We’re looking for adult performers of a variety of ages, types, backgrounds and experiences who are strong storytellers and comfortable singing, acting and moving as part of an ensemble.

You do not have to be a traditional “leading man” or “leading lady.” This is a show for character actors, singers, storytellers and performers who love creating something together.

Audition Process:

Auditions will be by appointment

There are 10 spots for each audition time frame. Each Audition time group will be approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes

Auditions will consist of:

Singing: Individual song prepared from the curated list: & Group singing exercise
Acting : Individual Character readings form the prepared list
- There are lines for four unique characters you should prepare to read all four ensuring that
- Each character should be unique and has a unique Accent.
Movement : group taught movement session

Audition Materials to prepare : Audition Materials (Male Vocal Selections, Female Vocal Selections & Readings)

You are to asked to select and prepare a song form the following curated list –
